Medium Rigid (MR)
These vehicles include trucks and buses with a GVM more than eight tonnes and two axles. Any towed trailer must not weigh more than nine tonnes GVM. To apply for the MR Licence you must have held your class C licence or equivalent for one year or more.
Light Rigid (LR)
These vehicles include small trucks with a GVM of up to eight tonnes. Any towed trailer must not weigh more than nine tonnes GVM. Buses that seat more than 12 adults including the driver and a GVM of up to eight tonnes.
Heavy Rigid (HR)
These vehicles include trucks and buses with a GVM more than eight tonnes and three or more axles. Any towed trailer must not weigh more than nine tonnes GVM. Bendy buses, even though these vehicles are articulated, they are treated as rigid vehicles.
4WD Driving
Our 4WD Driver Training will provide skills and safety knowledge in all kinds of four wheel drive terrain. This including mud driving, steep inclines, steep declines, water crossings, sand driving, rocky terrain, snow driving, wheel placement and engine braking.
Heavy Combination (HC)
These vehicles include articulated vehicles with three or more axles, heavy rigid vehicle trailer combinations including unladen dolly with three or more axles and any towed trailer with a GVM more than nine tonnes.
Car Driving
Our driving experts provides excellent and affordable car driving lessons and test preparation. The teachings will include all the techniques to become a confident and responsible car driver.
